Spring Training Phoenix, AZ
Well it rained all night last night and the field were soaked this morning. It was a cold wet day at practice. Carlos Gonzalez and Jason Giambi arrived at camp today. They both hit in the batting cages along with all the other position players. The sun popped out maybe once today for a about 20 seconds and then went behind the clouds. Practice ended a bit early today so we actually got done at noon today. Sitting here at the hotel i can see the sun starting to break through the clouds. Blue skies can't wait. I hope tomorrow and the rest of the week we have sun.

I completed the first day of shooting at the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale. It was quite different from shooting the team in Tucson. Batting cages and bullpens all right next to each other. Everything is all real close and easily accessible. I got to see the clubhouse for the first time today, man it's huge and really nice. The weight room is big too, all the weights have the CR logo on each weight. Pretty cool. I shot Ubaldo today. He is such a nice person, very soft spoken and always smiling. I was shooting over the fence at one of the fields where Ubaldo was warming up his arm playing long toss. I was shooting him way out in the outfield as he threw the ball to Escalona when I heard "Hey"! I looked up and I see the baseball coming right at me. It took a quick bounce and hit the rim of my 400 2.8 and zoomed over my head. Ubaldo apologized repeatedly and I told him no worries. He kinda got a chuckle out of it. The rest of the day went pretty smooth. It started getting windy and blowing dust all over. I think a half hour after we left the fields, it started raining. We were lucky it didn't happen during practice. Our main story will be on Ubaldo Jimenez for the paper on Sunday

Spring Training Phoenix, AZ
Well, we have arrived in Phoenix only to find out that the airlines lost Steve's video tripod. Oh well, it'll show up. Made our way over to the new facility at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale. What a beautiful place, they really put together a nice facility for the Rockies and DiamondBacks. Took a small tour around but spent the bit of an hour trying to figure out what was going on for tomorrow. It will be a long day starting at 7:45 a.m. More tomorrow with pictures. Ciao

Tyler
Heart of a Warrior was right, i can't imagine getting up on stage in front of a full house and posing, much less while wearing prosthetic legs. Tyler Carron did, and after his pose he was treated to a standing ovation from the crowd yelling out his name. I started to follow Tyler with only 4 weeks left til his competition at the Warrior Classic. The first shoot was at the gym and he wasn't that ripped yet. The second time at the gym was about two weeks later and I couldn't believe how ripped he was. My final week with him was right before the competition. One thing was missing though, something of him at home which I really wanted to get. I kept asking every time I talked with him but couldn't convince him to let me come to his house to photograph him. Made some nice stuff from the competition so here it is hope you like it .

LenDale White
The newest member of the Denver Broncos running core LenDale White. To make room for White, the Broncos released RB Kolby Smith. LenDale was greeted by Tim Tebow and Spencer Larsen at different time during the start of practice. White is wearing the number 26. After practice was over, media waited around hoping to interview him but he was rushed off the field by PR. Anyway, maybe we'll get that interview tomorrow with him.
