Home at Last!!

Well after an agonizing three plane trips through two cities fro Vancouver, I made it home last night stepping in the door about 11pm. Although it was a rough day of travel, it was great to see DIA in the distance as we approached.

Looking back once again at the games, my last assignment shooting the men's hockey Gold game, i realized how much that game was probably the best event I ever covered. From Stanley Cup, Super Bowls and even the World Series, they don't compare. The game had more electricity than 100 watt light bulb. When USA tied the game with 24.4 seconds left, it felt like someone let all the air out of a balloon and the arena went silent. Not a word but a few chants from USA fans in the upper deck. I also realized how much Hockey means to the Canadians, more so then we do here in the States. I've never seen anyone more passionate about their sport than the Canadians. No band wagon fans here. A sea of red jerseys as far as can see. Pretty cool I thought. The USA gave it a good run, but just came up short, nothing to be ashamed of it was a great game. The best and the best game I've ever witnessed.
